1. Zero Server File Uploads
Unlike conventional online PDF tools that upload your documents to cloud hosting providers, Compress PDF File performs all compression operations entirely inside your local device memory. When you select or drag-and-drop a PDF into the tool, the file stays strictly inside your browser sandbox.
This architecture ensures your confidential documents — contracts, financial records, medical documents, and personal files — remain under your exclusive control at all times.
2. Information We Collect
Because our PDF compression engine runs entirely in your browser, we collect minimal information:
- No PDF file data: Your documents are never uploaded, parsed, or transmitted to our servers.
- No personal accounts: We do not require registration, login, email addresses, or personally identifiable information (PII).
- Hosting logs: The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser and the page requested. It never sees your PDF files.
- Local preferences: Only your light/dark theme choice is stored, in your browser's local storage. Nothing else is saved.
3. Cookies & Tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising pixels or fingerprinting. We do not sell or share data.
4. Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
Because the contents of your documents never reach our infrastructure, we do not process them as personal data under laws such as the GDPR, CCPA or HIPAA. This page is not legal advice; check your own obligations for sensitive documents.
5. Data Security
Because your files are compressed on your device and never uploaded, they cannot be exposed by a breach of our servers. The site is served only over HTTPS.
6. Children's Privacy
Compress PDF File does not collect any personal information from children under the age of 13, in full compliance with COPPA.
